The Colour is one of the most influential of the 4c's in determining your Diamond's value
The Colour of your Diamond will affect its ability to reflect light, its rarity and beauty. It will also play a monumental role in its value.
Each Diamond is evaluated and awarded a colour grade. The Diamond Colour grade uses the alphabet to graph these precious stones from Colourless to light yellow.
- 'Grade D' Diamonds are extremely rare and are the highest value. These Diamonds are classed as Colourless on the Diamond Colour grade.
- Diamonds classed between ‘Grades N & Z' are light yellow in colour. These Diamonds are readily available.
- 'Fancies' or Coloured Diamonds - Diamonds with strong pure colour are also very rare and are called ‘Fancies'. These Diamonds are valued for their depth of colour (whereas White Diamonds are valued for their lack of colour). Some of the most valuable coloured diamonds are Pink Diamonds.
